My Resonance skills had exploded, and if not for the fact that I was looking at these numbers in front of me while simultaneously feeling the effects of all these elemental forces coursing through my veins, I would not believe my eyes.
Lightning Resonance sat at a hundred and nineteen, the ceiling of the Arcanist tier. I had lived in lightning so long it had nowhere left to grow, and I was a bit frustrated that this number had not entered the Sovereign Tier, but I also understood that I had been able to quickly reach the Arcanist Tier because of my deeper understanding of magic; the only reason I had not touched the Sovereign Tier must be related to Laws.
I knew that any Arcanist would kill to have their attunement at the maximum, but I was not dealing with the same problems as they were, and what I considered was different from them
Force Resonance had reached ninety, entering the Arcanist Tier in one go. As much as my actions in the last loop haunted me, it has given me growth that was extremely amazing.
Then there was Darkness Resonance, at seventy-four, which surprised me a bit, because I did not understand how it could have grown to such an extent. My mind flashed to the final moments of my life, at the pillar of white flame that consumed me, and a crazy thought entered my head.
Was it possible that that flame was mostly made up of Darkness Laws?
What killed me in the last loop was no longer magic that I could understand. Even though Death had pulled away the control of the Skull Fields from me, I would have been able to shrug off most spells from an Arcanist due to my Titan’s physique, but that flame that tore me apart exceeded anything my body could tolerate, and this could only be the power of Laws.
I was at the threshold of a new world, and it was impossible not to feel the thrill of excitement in my veins. The mysteries of the Sovereign Tier did not scare me; rather, it was the opposite, because I knew that I could not make real changes to this world until my skills crossed into that level, and with all my advantages, once I became a Sovereign, I would be matchless, or at least, I hope so.
Placing the thoughts of the future aside, I stared at Death Resonance, at fifty-one, and I began to feel a wave of excitement before I fully understood why.
Many things influenced my actions in the last loop, from the grief and madness that I fell into when I saw the state of my home, to especially the actions of Death.
This entity could not just be seen as malevolent, but she was also very intelligent, and if not for certain tools that I had, then I would have entirely fallen into her trap, as she had more influence over existence as I knew it.
There was a reason she had ensured that the Hollow Avatar was not present in the last loop, and why she had also dismissed the Moon Fox. She kept me isolated and fed me power to drown out my thoughts; however, what she could not easily discard was my foundations.
Cor Telluris gave me channels beyond what a Celestial Construct like the Hollow Avatar could fathom, and one potent ability of my channels was the ability of attunement.
I would have become a plaything of Death if not for the fact that even while I was a Death Titan, my channels were attuning to the power, and this must have been the chief reason I had been able to silence her voice and push her to the side.
I looked at my hands before I squeezed them into a fist. Usually there was lightning flowing through my channels, and when I suppressed my lightning and every other energy flowing in my body, a grey energy that resembled ash began to flow through them, causing my tent to be almost encased in ice before I reversed the process.
A cold smile touched my lips, and I felt my heart beginning to race. Death had played me like a fiddle, but in the long game, it might not be me that loses out.
Death Consort had many disadvantages, most especially the manipulations of Death herself, but the one thing that Resonance gave me was immunity, and so what would happen if my Death Resonance reached the Arcanist level or the Sovereign level?
One of my priorities must be to find a way to increase my Death Resonance without using my Death Consort ability, and I think I know a way to do this. I would consider using the Death Consort Title again when my Resonance reached Arcanist or the Sovereign level.

Placing this future matter to the side, I looked at the Resonance for Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and surprisingly Space.
Five new resonances, elements I had never trained, and I could imagine how many mages would die of envy if they could see my status screen.
However, this power had not come out of nowhere. Two continents had thrown everything they had at me, hour after hour, and I had stood inside all of it and not died, and you attune to what you survive.
I had not necessarily been learning those elements; rather, I had been soaked in them. I believe I could have gained more Resonance, but there was a sense of fullness in my body, as if at my present level, my body could not hold any more resonance.
There were hundreds of different forces bombarding me in that battle, and I had only gained a fraction of that power, but I thought I was full due to the fact that my body was capped at the Arcanist Tier, and the fact that I must have gained something truly special, Space Resonance, which was at Epic Tier even though it had only grown by two points.
I did not know what this would mean for me in the future, but I knew that I had been trying to kill the whole world, and the whole world had, in trying to kill me back, taught me itself.
There was a lesson in that I did not much like, but I could appreciate it.
