’Father, it is over.

Ten enemies have been captured alive—

The rest have been killed.’

The Ant reported.

The battle truly was over.

There was no hidden army that appeared out of nowhere, no random beast that somehow awakened, those ’outsiders’ didn’t make a move either.

It... truly was over.

And—

"THE ENEMY IS DEAD!!"

A loud scream was heard.

It was Korvath.

"IT IS OVER!"

He announced and the instant he did—

"VICTORY!!!!!"

The Velmourns cheered.

The Translators repeated the words in their own language and—

"VICTORY!!"

The Alliance Troops roared.

Kael watched it all with an overwhelmed look on his face. He looked at the battlefield, it was still filled with bodies, of both troops and beasts from their side and the enemy, the snow had soaked enough blood that it could no longer soak anymore.

The rest had started flowing.

The smell of blood and sweat was repulsive, but under the cheers, that did not matter.

"VICTORY!!!"

The soldiers continued to cheer.

Some, however, knelt in front of certain bodies, allies were lost, some had lost their brothers, their fathers, their children, some lost their lifelong friends.

They had won but the number of casualties on their side was quite high and Kael hated that. After all, he was the one responsible for the loss of so many lives, if it wasn’t for him falling for the enemy’s tricks...

Even if they had fought the enemy’s complete army, with all the Stormcaller Leaders and the rest of the people who came to hunt him, with their complete army, with Kael and others present—

The loss wouldn’t have been this bad.

That made Kael lower his head.

But then suddenly—

A portal opened beside him, he frowned, he hadn’t allowed any of his children to come out, but it didn’t seem like this one was willing to listen.

"Paa~"

She greeted as she jumped into his arms, Kael quickly caught her because this one couldn’t fly like others.

Kael looked into her soft emerald eyes and the next instant, the heaviness he was feeling, the weight of the deaths he was trying to shoulder on his head, it disappeared and a smile appeared on his face.

"Eira."

He called her name in a soft, adorable voice.

"You came out to heal the injured?"

"Yes!!"

Eiralyth nodded with a big smile on her face, that made Kael smile even more, he gently ruffled her soft hair.

"Mmh~"

Eira let out a soft voice, enjoying the care.

"Cirri."

Kael spoke, Cirri already knew what he wanted and—

"To the left."

She answered.

This was where many heavily injured soldiers were. Kael walked towards them, with Cirri guiding him, he quickly found a bunch who were being helped by others around them, Kael rushed towards them and before he could do anything—

Eira jumped from his arms and rushed forward.

For a creature barely as big as Kael’s arm, her steps were surprisingly quick.

"Eira—"

Kael tried to stop her but—

"Paa~"

She looked at him and smiled, telling him she would be fine.

Kael looked at her, then he smiled, then she lowered her head, the golden leaves around her antlers trembled and a gentle, warm light burst out of her body and the instant it did—

The wounded soldiers lying in front of her froze.

Their conditions were the worst, that was part of the reason Cirri chose them in the first place, some of them had broken bones, some had open wounds from the enemies trying to bite them to death, some had pale bodies because their bodies had lost too much blood and they were losing consciousness.

A Stonefang warrior had half his chest torn open by a beast’s claw, a Velmourn archer’s leg was bent in a direction it should never bend, a Borealis fighter was unconscious, his breathing so weak that the man beside him was already crying.

Eira stepped between them, surprising everyone around and—

"Myuu..."

She let out a soft, absurdly ridiculous voice and—

The warm light around her grew even stronger, thin roots of green energy spread from her legs, moving all over the snow like snakes, the energy touched the wounded soldiers one by one and the instant it did—

The torn flesh closed.

The blood stopped flowing.

The broken leg straightened with a soft crack.

The unconscious Borealis fighter gasped and opened his eyes.

"Haaahhhh!!"

The Stonefang warrior, who was moments away from death, suddenly took a deep breath as he woke up.

"Kkharrkkk!!!"

Then he coughed blood and looked around in surprise until his eyes fell on Eira.

He touched his chest, the wound was still there, but it was no longer open, the bleeding was gone, his breathing became stable.

And he wasn’t alone—

Every single injured soldier Eira targeted looked around in shock.

They... they were alive...

They were saved...

Even those who were crying just now, already mourning their comrades looked at Eira like fools.

Heck, let alone them, even Kael couldn’t believe what he was seeing, he knew Eira could heal, that was half of the reason Igni told him to choose her in the first place.

But...

She was just a child.

She was barely three days old.

No matter how rare and ridiculous her ability was, she was only a child right now, then how...

How was she healing these people, all at once, much more efficiently than most beings he had seen this far?

Kael frowned, then, as he looked at his daughter, his eyes turned golden and a screen appeared in front of him.

...

And Kael blinked.

"Level... Sixteen?"

He couldn’t believe it.

Three days ago!

She was born three days ago!

Kael was confused, soon however, he realised it.

He jumped from early Level 46 to Level 50 in this battle, that was how much experience he had gathered after killing those... mindless warriors.

4 levels, all at the same time.

The amount of experience one needs to grow to that extreme level, even if it was divided amongst all his beasts—

It should indeed be enough for Eira to reach level 16.

’They grow up so fast.’

Kael joked in his own mind.
