’They grow up so fast.’

Kael joked in his own mind.

He smiled lightly, feeling much lighter now that Eira was here, even now, even as she was a little further away from him, her presence was affecting his state of mind.

Kael watched as the little thing continued to heal the soldiers to the point where they could now move.

Then, as he watched the injured move, he finally snapped out of it and—

"Gather the injured!"

He ordered the nearby soldiers as he moved towards Eira.

Then he looked at other tribesmen and translated his own words, sending them all to gather the injured and bring them here.

"Anyone who can move, bring the wounded here! Prioritise those in critical condition but are still breathing! Do not waste time!"

The soldiers reacted instantly, Aurelia had taught them this part, stretchers they created at the last moment came out of Sanctuaries, some carried the wounded on their backs, some held their friends in their arms and ran as fast as they could, dragging their exhausted bodies one last time.

"Here!"

"Bring him here!"

"This one is still alive!"

"Move! Move!"

The rest of the soldiers moved as well, especially those who were part of the Dawn of the Dragon, they took the lead since they had prior experience when it came to working with other tribes.

Kael crouched next to Eira and—

"You can continue?"

He questioned with a concerned look on his face, even though she had gotten stronger, he still didn’t wish to burden her.

Eira turned her tiny face toward him and nodded strongly.

"Yes!"

It was almost adorable to hear her cute voice filled with such confidence. It made Kael chuckle, he gently caressed her fur, but he made sure he didn’t disturb the glowing antlers on her head.

"You are amazing."

"Hehe~"

Eira’s little tail moved happily.

Then she lowered her head again, the soft green light reappeared and she started healing the next group that was brought to her.

The battlefield that was filled with death, destruction and blood slowly started to change.

The people who should have died, lived. Some tears turned into smiles, Kael was grateful, seeing that sight filled his heavy heart.

He couldn’t do anything about those who had already passed, but those who hadn’t, he wanted to make sure they survived and stood on their feet again.

He clenched his fists, cheering his Eira internally.

That was when a heavy shadow fell beside him.

"Father."

It was Igni, his large body covered in cuts and ash.

"Gni~"

Eira glanced at her big brother and her eyes shone, then, she stopped healing the soldiers midway and directed all her energy to the dragon, healing his minor injuries.

"I am fine, Eira."

Igni spoke in his usual mature voice, but—

"NO!"

Eira shook her head.

It was clear that the little girl wasn’t having any of it, only once she healed Igni’s minor injuries completely did she finally turn her attention back on the rest.

Her older brother came first!

Humans other than Maa and Paa didn’t matter.

The other soldiers didn’t complain, they didn’t dare to. This was the first time they had seen healing abilities this absurd, they knew there existed rare beasts who had the power to heal injuries, but this...?

This was far beyond that.

Even Velmourn and Stonefangs, who had seen such beasts in action when the Sky Kingdom Soldiers came to help the injured Stonefangs—

Even they were surprised.

Because they clearly remembered none of those beasts they saw were anywhere close to this little thing in front of them.

She was on an entirely different level.

So no one dared to disobey or offend her.

Not to mention the one she was healing was Kael’s Dragon, none of them had the balls to stand and say they should be healed before Kael’s Bond, who he treated like his own child, right in front of him.

Not after they saw him slaughter hundreds of enemies, all on his own.

So the soldiers remained silent and let Eira do whatever she pleased, Eira too, didn’t take long, only taking a few seconds to heal his injuries before returning to the rest, keeping whatever grievances they had under control.

Once Igni was healed, Kael looked at his firstborn.

"Igni."

The Dragon lowered his head.

Kael patted his head and—

"Bring Lavinia."

"Yes, Father."

The Dragon nodded, then, without wasting another second—

Flap

He flapped his wings and took off towards the command post where Mother was.

Kael watched him leave, then, he took out the communication crystal and activated it—

[Congratulations on your victory.]

A voice came from the other side.

It was Aurelia.

"Thank you for protecting Lavinia."

Kael spoke in a soft voice.

Then—

[I don’t know what you are talking about. My soldiers and I were only looking around, trying to escape, if it wasn’t for the null Sanctuary collars on our necks, we would have used this chance to leave.]

The Sky Serpent General shrugged.

Kael smiled at those words and shook his head.

"I understand."

Then, after a small pause—

"Now, if you don’t want us to starve your people, I order you to come down here and heal our injured."

[If that is the case, then you leave me no choice. My healers and I will be there in a minute.]

Aurelia answered and Kael just laughed lightly while she cut the call.

By then, Morvain had arrived with Korvath, Kayden, Gruumak, and a few others.

Their clothes were stained with blood, their faces were exhausted, honestly, none of them looked like they had won, they all had serious looks on their faces.

That was until they looked at Eira.

Kayden stared at the absurd scene with wide eyes, to see five men being healed in real time, that too, at such ridiculous speed...

It was unbelievable.

He looked at Eira, the little thing making the miracle possible, then he looked at Kael crouching next to her and—

"Where did this little fellow come from?"
